Today, we chose a lesson including bilingual contents to work with. Lily found one that she did with a 4th grade primary class. The lesson is about spanish fruits. Before we were able to add technological resources to the lesson, we had to transfer the lesson contents on to the scottish template.
The original lesson already includes one techonological tool, but we are going to make it even more technological.
The lesson starts with a song which repeats the phrases "Me gusta" and "No me gusta" as well as fruits in spanish. Then the children are being asked what they heard in the song. After they learned what the two phrases mean, they are shown different pictures of fruits which they have to name in spanish. Then the children get into pairs and partake a roleplay, in which they become a shop keeper and a customer. This gives an opportunity for the children to communicate in the second language and practice what they ad learned in the lesson.
